As promised, here's my AKB48 Bokutachi wa, report. I wasn't planning to got this year's Shamekai since I wasn't sure if I would still be in Japan. Fortunately, there was a resale so I was able to apply for Komi and Nagi.
Slot 2 - Fuchigami Mai (Jacket Sign)
Pacifico Yokohama is two hours away from my home so I only applied for afternoon slots. However, I won a sign ticket and wanted to use for Maichan. The problem is her slot is wayyyy too early and I had to wait for around five hours until my next slot. Nevertheless, it was so worth it and this is probably the best experience I had with Maichan.
Maichan lane had a decent number of people but definitely a lot less than Naru's lane last year. As usual, she's giving her fans the best she could give.
I decided to try to see if she can speak English and she definitely can! Our conversation was mainly in English (since I kinda slipped and spoke in Japanese) but that's the first time I actually had an English conversation with an idol.
Maichan: Yahho!!
Me: I’m from the Philippines
Maichan: Hm?
Me: Firipin.
Maichan: Oh! Firipin?? Thank you!!!
Maichan: Can you speak English? Yeah!! Uhmm, wait...* A little. Just a little!
Me: I love you!!
Maichan: I love you too! I want to go to... Firipin!!
Me: Yay! Let’s go together!
Maichan: Together!!! Yes!! Let’s go together.
Me: You’re so good in English.
Maichan. No, no!! Just a little.*
Me: Where did you learn it?*
Maichan: School! In school. But only just a little bit.* My sister is studying in Australia!
Me: Oh, you should visit Australia too.
Maichan: Yeah. I wanna go to Australia too! But I really want to go to the Philippines.
Me: Yeah! You can also study English there.
Maichan: Yay!
Maichan: I wrote a lot of things! *laughing while still writing more and more*
Maichan: I-love-you! (while writing I love you.)
Me: Wow!! I’m so happy
Maichan: Happy!! (writes happy) Me too!!!!
Maichan hands me the jacket.
Me: Maichan! Thank you so much!
Maichan: No. Thank you!
Me: I’ll come back again.
Maichan: I love you!
Me: I love you too. Bye bye!!!
Maichan: Bye bye, Angela!!! Take care!

Slot 5 - Komiyama Haruka (Hiki)
For this album's Shamekai, they introduced two types of shots -- hiki and yori. Hiki, as shown above is portrait and yori is landscape. They also made the tables smaller so fans can literally be closer to their idols.
This day, Komi was wearing pajamas and every slot, except for the first and second, Komi would change her hairstyle. For the fifth slot, she was sporting twintails.
Instead of a two-shot photo, I got a two-shot video and the photo above is a screenshot of that. I won the on-the spot lottery was given the option to choose between two-shot cheki (polaroid) and two-shot video.
For the two-shot video, fans are given three scenarios and we just basically have to say the lines during the video. I chose the third one
Komi: Congrats! It's actually rare!
Me: Really?
Komi: Yup, it's the first time. Others woud just do the polaroid.
Me: Oh! My Japanese really suck but I'll do my best.
Komi: Eh? It's fine! Are we doing this? *points at no. 1 option*
Me: Uhmmm. This! *points at no. 3*
Komi: Oh! Okay!
Komi gets a booklet from the staff.
Komi: How do you pronounce your name?*
Me: Angela.
Komi: Ahhhh! I see.
I didn't write my name on the pink paper because I thought that was for polaroid only, she took a long time figuring out how to write my name and finally just asked me how to pronounce it. After that, the staff signaled us that they're going to start taking the video.
Komi: Let's do it!
Me: You're Komiyama Haruka-san, right?
Komi: Yes, that's right.
Me: I'm a Komi oshi. I'm always supporting you.
Komi: Ehhh? Thank you!
Me: Komiharu Smile!
Komi: Komiharu Smile!
And I realized there's no point covering my face on the photos because of the video.
For this, I changed some of the words like "fan" to "Komi-oshi." I also added Komiharu smile at the end since the staff wasn't ending the video. Those are probably not allowed but they didn't call me out, so whatever.
Komi: Thank you for coming!
Me: I'm gonna see you again on October.
Komi: Really? I'll look forward to it.
Me: There's actually an overseas Komiharu Election Committee.
Komi: Ehhhh?!! Really?! I'm so happy!
Me: That's why I'll go meet you again on October.
Komi: Thank you!
Me: Bye bye!
Komi: Bye bye!
Aside from the video, you also get a booklet containing the scripts of the three scenarios, which would be signed by the member.
The whole process took so much time but it was worth since we could talk a lot. I'm glad that I was able get the 2S experience with Komi but I doubt I'll do it again. Too stressful. I'll probably just choose the polaroid if I win again.
Slot 6 - Sakaguchi Nagisa (Yori)
My last slot was Nagi, one of the Team 8 members I like. This is my first time seeing her and she's as cute as what you can see on cam. Not surprisingly, she had a lot of male fans but what surprised me was that I was the only female in her lane at that time.
Me: Nagi! Hajimemashite.
Me: No, not at all.
Nagi: What pose?
*shows her Team 8 pose and places it near her hands*
Nagi: Eight?
Me: Also, mukiai.
Nagi: Like this?
Me: Yes!
Staff takes photo.
Nagi: Thank you for coming.
Me: There's a lot of Team 8 fans in the Philippines. They're waiting for you to come!
Nagi: Eh? Really? I'm so happy. I want to go to the Philippines.
Me: We'll wait for you!
Nagi: Thank you!
Nagi is so charming and now, I'm confused if I should make her my Team 8 oshi or stick with Naru. 😂
As a remembrance, I also got this month's photo set, which is the first one to follow the new teams. There are two versions -- yellow and black. Each member has six photos, three from each version. For this day's Shamekai, there's a promotion wherein you get the chance to win a printed sign photo of certain members. I didn't win though.
I traded Yukirin with two Komiharu photos from a Japanese fan.
And for those interested as how the polaroid looks like, my friend got it with Team 8 Yokoyama Yui.
